For 1.1.x, are we thinking to just remove the hook for config and defaulting back to the old behavior? That seems pretty dangerous because it might not be obvious to the user if the behavior changed after an upgrade. If we want to remove the hook, I'd suggest maybe deprecating it first, then in a future version have it throw an exception when you attempt to use it. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
