Both libs are pretty stable. I don't see any major reason to add extra features. If there are missing features in [pjfanning/pekko-http-json](https://github.com/pjfanning/pekko-http-json), raise an issue or a PR and I'll have a look. Circe itself seems to have moved past peak development. Is that not the arc for most OSS libs? Many people actually like libs that have reached a level of stability.
