It appears the solution is the config of action.auto_create_index of elasticsearch cluster settings. Set action.auto_create_index to "true" or skywalking's index namespace or pattern like "+skywalking*", no more index_not_found_exception happens. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
