GitHub user StepaevAnton created a discussion: Fork development on master branch
Hi everyone, I’m using Superset with a few custom changes to its source code. To update Superset to newer versions I currently rebase my changes onto a fresh Superset tag. Over time this has become painful, because the number of changes I maintain keeps growing. Now I’m thinking about basing my fork on the Superset master branch. A simple merge from master would be sufficient in this scenario. Of course, the master branch is less stable than a tagged release, but it has quality‑gate checks that I believe I can rely on, and its overall quality could be adequate for my needs. Please share your best practices and feedback on developing Superset forks, especially when the work is done on the master branch. Thanks :) GitHub link: https://github.com/apache/superset/discussions/35115 ---- This is an automatically sent email for notifications@superset.apache.org.
