   <!-- Greeting -->
   Hi @IHadAFish! I'm [Dosu](https://go.dosu.dev/dosubot) and I’m helping the
superset team.

   <!-- Answer -->
   The Treemap chart in Superset 6.0.0 uses a categorical color scale for node
coloring, which is why sequential coloring is no longer available—this is a
change from earlier versions and is now hardcoded in the chart's transform
logic. The 1px gap around the key/value text is caused by explicit `gapWidth`
and `borderWidth` settings in the chart's frontend code, which were introduced
in the newer ECharts-based Treemap implementation. These settings are not
user-configurable from the UI, and there are currently no documented
workarounds or configuration options to restore sequential coloring or remove
the gap in recent versions. Both behaviors are a result of intentional changes
in the chart plugin code, not a bug or misconfiguration on your end.
   You can see the relevant code and constants here:
   - [Treemap transformProps.ts (coloring and label
styling)](https://github.com/apache/superset/blob/829e4d92d91ceae4b43b1ed3b063ffe45377799c/superset-frontend/plugins/plugin-chart-echarts/src/Treemap/transformProps.ts#L146-L237)

   - [Treemap constants.ts (gap and border
settings)](https://github.com/apache/superset/blob/829e4d92d91ceae4b43b1ed3b063ffe45377799c/superset-frontend/plugins/plugin-chart-echarts/src/Treemap/constants.ts#L22-L26)

   If you need sequential coloring or want to remove the gap, it would require
customizing the plugin code or requesting this as a feature enhancement.
