The full set of vibrant color schemes is still defined in the codebase, but the UI restricts selection to these limited options due to frontend changes. This was not an intentional feature removal, and maintainers have acknowledged the issue—gradients worked in previous versions but not in 6.0.0 [[source]](https://github.com/apache/superset/issues/36098). Currently, you can globally override the theme colors by setting `colorSuccessBg`, `colorWarningBg`, and `colorErrorBg` in your `THEME_DEFAULT` config, but this affects all charts and UI elements using those tokens [[source]](https://github.com/apache/superset/discussions/35056#discussioncomment-14341740). The UI does not allow picking arbitrary colors or entering hex codes for conditional formatting. There is ongoing work to restore gradient support and improve conditional formatting flexibility, but no immediate fix is available. If you need more vibrant colors now, theme token overrides are the only workaround, though they apply globally.
