I think the ideal situation here is to (over time) steer toward a singular color/palette/swatch selector in Superset. We have a control that lets you pick a random color on the color wheel... which is great to customize. If it were able to also store pre-selected color swatches (alert/warn/etc) then users could quick-select those. If it were also able to support selecting/defining gradients, then we could pre-load the usual ones OR allow customizing that too.
