From the behavior described, it looks like the UI and underlying chart configuration may be getting slightly out of sync after the update or interaction occurs. In dashboard-heavy environments, even small inconsistencies between saved metadata and rendered state can become noticeable pretty quickly. It may help to verify whether the issue is reproducible after a hard refresh or in a fresh browser session, especially to rule out cached chart configuration or stale dashboard state. It could also be useful to compare the API response against what the frontend is actually rendering after the change. A focused regression test around this specific interaction flow would probably help prevent similar behavior from reappearing later.
