Good catch — not intentional, thanks for flagging it. Fixed: legacy/undefined `valueLabelPosition` (and the control's own default) now resolves to Outside End instead of Auto, so existing charts with Show Value on keep their current placement and Auto is opt-in via the Value label position control, matching what the description said.
