Tempted to close this as inactive/abandoned for the time being. Both the lerna-lite PR (#37222) and my bun/nx POC (#35302) ended up closed, so nothing's in flight. Still open to ditching `lerna`, but it'll need a champion, and now might not be the best time to prioritize this with so many efforts in flight.
