### Feature Summary An operator inside a loop cannot take a setting from a value computed upstream unless it has a second version built for that. For example, reading every file of a folder needs File Scan From Input, which takes the file name from a tuple field, instead of the File Scan operator itself. ### Proposed Solution or Design Give every operator one more input port, the **control-variable port**, drawn in purple. Whatever arrives on it becomes the operator's control variables, and a property that holds `$name` takes the value of the variable `name`.
