On the audit: agreed. On #8807 though: my understanding is the reproducibility precondition applies to automated signing only. Since the GPG secrets were removed, both upcoming RCs will be signed manually by the release managers on their own hardware, so I don't think the releases are blocked on resolving #8807 itself.
