Vincent Massol commented on XWATCH-95:
--------------------------------------

Related to this I have some questions. Imagine we install watch for xwiki.org.

We'll need users to be able to view and add comments, even flag articles.

Maybe we'll have another category of users who can delete articles and add new
feeds.

What it means is that we really need fine-grained permissions in order to use
XWiki Watch on a public site.

Any idea when this is planned since it'll impact our ability to put watch on
xwiki.org?

Thanks

> Currently the watch UI is accessible to anyone who can view the the document
> that contains it. However, lots of watch actions will fail for those users
> with no edit right : adding/editing feeds, flagging articles, adding
> comments, etc ; and none of this failure is properly reported, neither are
> the UI masked.
> The UI should then be restricted to "editors", at least while the above pbs
> exists.
