Just got back from a good morning of flying the new Kennedy Supra. Did lots of dive and inverted flight tests. By the end of the morning I had removed 1 5/8 oz. from the nose and still had not seen a solid tuck. So right now I'm down to 61 1/4 oz. from 62 3/4 and may be able to take out a little more. BTW: all dive and inverted tests are done in thermal mode (2deg pos.). And the dive test is done at an angle greater that 60 deg and from a high enough altitude to insure the stab is in control of the planes attitude. When I started the tests the plane flew very well but was very fast, in thermal mode and immediately went nose down when put into reflex. Now that the weight has been removed (CG moved aft a lot) and the plane re-trimmed it flies slow to very slow (camber applied) in thermal mode and has very good speed in reflex. I still have a lot to learn about the Supra's flight characteristics but even at this initial point I'm very happy with it. If you have any suggestion about the Supra please let me know.
