Fellow club Flyer Dick Weidner flying his old Maria several years ago managed to put the plane near the top of one of the tallest trees surrounding our field. It being a public park and a Sunday and not trusting it would still be there on Monday when he could get a cherry picker to retrieve the plane Dick borrowed a bow and arrow. We attached some retriever line to the arrow and shot the arrow trying to loop it over the plane. Good guess. The arrow went right into the fuselage and out the other side. Only thing that slowed the arrow down was a 50Mhz receiver. Plane was fixable the receiver was not.
