Recently I bisected this commit, and furthermore did a manual revert.
Symptoms are very simple: black screen on resume from ram/disk in about
90% of cases.
System itself continues to function.
Also I am getting black screen on boot alarmingly often
I suspect this code to be the reason as well.
For reference I use latest (updated today) git tips of nouveau master
branch, mesa and xf86-video-nouveau.
