Hi folks, A quick question for everyone: what do you use for NetWare time sync in ESX VMs? It has been so long since i've touched NetWare time sync that i've forgotten whatever i previously knew.
When i was a lot more hands-on with NetWare, i got rid of timesync completely and used NTP on all NetWare boxes. However, they were all bare metal at that stage. Does the same thing work well under ESX? In our existing setup we use NetWare time sync and the reference servers talk to NTP, so my first thought was to make all of the NetWare VMs secondary off our bare metal NTP servers. I wonder whether this would cause NDS issues if they could not maintain a good close sync (due to load, network traffic, VMware vagaries, etc.). Thoughts?
