I had a 3rd Gen iPod and had the infamous battery problem. Would not hold a charge for more than an hour. But I returned it, got a new one, and have been great ever since.
The fact is...no matter who makes the mass storage device, it's a hard drive. And most of the problems most of us have with our computers...are hard drive problems. ESPECIALLY when you're putting mp3s from various sources onto said hard drive. Now that you can put video onto the player...the problems are going to mirror the problems of your desktop. That's why we ALL need the NPNY podcast.
