Greetings post-school outcome friends, I just had an exchange with our MT colleague, Dick Trerise, who reports a ³return rate on the PSO survey in Montana at 99%. I have an administrative assistant who is a bulldog. (In the best sense of the descriptor of course)²
I asked if he would share their strategies; here is his reply: ³There is really nothing special about what we did. After the initial release of information about the survey the first of April, we sent it again monthly until the first of August and then weekly. The first of September, we started calling districts directly and in some cases went all the way to the Superintendent. We told them we would quit bothering them as soon as they finished the darn surveys. Our online survey application allows us to monitor completion rates anytime we want; district by district, school by school.² So it looks like monitoring and nagging works, at least in MT! Anyone else want to share stories about how your PSO data collection is going as the April-September window draws to a close? Remember to tap our tools and products, especially the response calculator and data display templates at http://www.psocenter.org/analysis.html Very soon, we will have the following additional tools available for you: Trend Data Display, APR Writing Suggestions, and Family and Parent Flyers. Could you and your bulldog AA put together a list of the strategies she used to get such incredible results?? I am sure this is a story to share! In fact, if you would like to put some thoughts together, we could send it to the NPSO CofP list serve. Just so you know for the SLC meeting we do have several states (AK, ND, NV, UT, NM) with just one participant coming so if Floy still wanted to come, she would not be all alone! Enjoy your weekend too! Jane On 9/26/08 1:33 PM, "Trerise, Dick" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: Thanks Jane! Yes, it is arthroscopic and should heal quickly. By the way, our Have a great weekend! I am very sorry to hear that. Hopefully, surgery is arthroscopic (the technologies seem to improve daily!) and all will be well very soon. Next time we meet, we can swap knee stories!
