[ns] Random disconnections amongst wireless nodes

I am simulating a wireless mesh network and need to randomly break the
connection between a node and all its neighbours.Additionally the duration
of the connection is random.
The break needs to occur at the physical layer. Tips on how to accomplish
these tasks will be appreciated
