[ns] What book newbie to use for learning C++ ?

Hi all,

I need to change tcp.cc and tcp.h files under NS2. So, I need to have some 
knowledge of C++. 

I have simple question:

Can somebody suggest me ONE book on C++ for Unix and of course to be for 
newbie. May be you have usefull e-book....

Of course, it is not just learning for fun, so I need good book to be able to 
"read" and "change" files ....
