I do not know if carrying a bandwidth value inside the flow is the best solution. Bandwidth as I see is data_transmitted/time. And time is relative, are you going to measure the bandwidth in the last second, the last minute, the last hour? So that why I think is not the best way. I would suggest then to use the bytes transmitted by the flow. Get that number and divided by the time life of the flow. You can also do some more complex things such as getting the bandwidth in the last second, minute, etc. if you wanted.
