Hi,

the way I use is (to run a python script):
exec ./scene_plot.py

or if it returns an exception:
catch {exec mkdir $opt(resultdir)}

Try a search in google for "tcl shell commands" or something similar
(this is tcl, rather than ns-2 syntax).
