I am trying to simulate a VHF wireless network under varying conditions. Due
to simulated atmospheric conditions, the topology of the network would have
little resemblance to the geography of the network. This has inspired me to
use LANs as those can be configured to connect arbitrary loads. To simulate
the additional coverage of nodes at the boundaries of cities, I need to combine
networks. The solution that has occurred to me is to use a point-to-multipoint
link, as that would allow shared receiving without signals traveling too far.
Is there such a component, and if so, where can I find it? Thank you for your
consideration.
