It's not because of using Eclipse!
Eclipse Helios is just a tool that makes it easy to develop the ns codes.
It uses default gcc version that is installed on your operating system and
for compiling the projects, it uses simple terminal commands as everyone
uses manually. the capability of compiling just modified files is relative
to "make" command and its structure itself, not the tool that you are using
of. whenever you run "make", it walks the dependency tree of all targets to
see whether any of them need to be rebuilt.
