Well the first name that springs to mind is the wonderful Natalie Dessay -swoon! drool! -- or a few octaves lower Gottlob Frick. And Lauri-Volpi in the middle.
But closer to where you are, and thinking about power (actually projection) and vibrato (actually lack of it) how about a trip to Cologne for their current production of Tristan und Isolde? Richard Decker and Annalena Persson sing wonderfully and they look marvellous too. A terrific production.
