To quote p. 85 of THE CLOUGH FAMILY book: "Thomas Todd, an almost exact 
contemporary of Tom Clough (II), and teacher of Tom Clough (III), who is mostly 
remembered for composing "The Barrington Hornpipe."  It is said that this 
latter was deliberately written to utilise all of the keys of the 7-key 
chanter."
