Not directly, but JIm Grieve was an NPS committee member in the 1950s, 60s and again briefly in the 1980s. AFAIK, he died in the late 80s, although I can check his society membership record if it is of interest. He first appears in Competition records in 1955 (half-long class) and then again the next year as an nsp beginner, but not again on nsp. He last competed (or at least won a class) in 1967. According to Jim Richmond, who knew him, he was active in the Boys Brigade, which might explain the inscription on one of the bags. The people still around who I am aware knew him would include Colin R, Ann Sessoms & Robbie Greensitt, and Anne Moore - who told me that he turned up periodically at the Chantry museum to look at things. Others active in the 1970s and 80s would be the ones with the most info, I would think. Again, I don't know, but if he left a widow, it is possible these sets came from her estate. I hope this helps Julia To get on or off this list see list information at http://www.cs.dartmouth.edu/~wbc/lute-admin/index.html
