can you please install the latest version of Simple Backup from PPA (see
here: https://edge.launchpad.net/~nssbackup-team/+archive/ppa ). Does
the error occurs frequently? In general, a Input/output error is not
related to (ns)sbackup rather sounds like a broken harddisk.
