directory services for uninstallation (1908)", but no joy in TechNet for
that one.

Folks,

             We are experimenting trying to take a child-domain out of ADS
but we
consistently get "the operation failed because the directory service failed
to replicate off changes made locally - could not find the domain
controller
for this domain". Running netdiag /v though is completely clean. Has anyone
on the list stumbled into the less than obvious in this situation. The
child
domain went in fine using W2000 DNS on the ADS root machines but we cannot
get it back out.
