Hi,
I have a computer with an 1 Tb external hard drive installed on a fedora 7
with a NTFS partition. I have a problem and I currently can't restart the
system with write option.
The system has rebooted after a long list of those messages :
Jul 11 13:15:51 serv-kerquery ntfs-3g[3571]: Not enough space to extended mft
data
Jul 11 13:16:23 serv-kerquery last message repeated 14 times
[..]
Jul 11 14:57:33 serv-kerquery last message repeated 19 times
Jul 11 15:03:03 serv-kerquery syslogd 1.4.2: restart.
What happened ?
Notice that after a verification of the disk under Windows,
I still can't remount the disk with write option
[EMAIL PROTECTED] log]# umount /mnt/LHASSA/
[EMAIL PROTECTED] log]# mount -t ntfs-3g /dev/sdb1 /mnt/LHASSA/

Volume is scheduled for check. Please boot into Windows TWICE, or
use the 'force' mount option. For example type on the command line:
mount -t ntfs-3g /dev/sdb1 /mnt/LHASSA/ -o force
Or add the option to the relevant row in the /etc/fstab file:
/dev/sdb1 /mnt/LHASSA/ ntfs-3g defaults,force 0 0
[EMAIL PROTECTED] log]# mount -t ntfs-3g /dev/sdb1 /mnt/LHASSA/ -o force
WARNING: Forced mount, unclean volume information is ignored.
[EMAIL PROTECTED] log]# > /mnt/LHASSA/Hello
-bash: /mnt/LHASSA/Hello: Opération non supportée
I tried to mount an umount this disk under windows more than a couple
of times. I allways have the same problem.
Thanks for your help.
