Hi,
I have a NTFS-formatted USB HD. The model is LACIE Big Disk USB 500GB. It works correctly with Windows but when I try to access it with Fedora Core 6 it fails. The error message is the following: ========================================================================= ntfs_attr_pread: ntfs_pread failed: Input/output error Failed to read NTFS $Bitmap: Input/output error Unmounting /dev/sda1 ========================================================================= My system works with the following versions: kernel version: 2.6.18-1.2798.fc6 ntfs-3g version: 1.1004 fuse version: 2.7.1 I found a patch called 'too-small-mftmirr.diff' but after applying things have not improved. The error message is not issued but the USB drive is still unmounted. Curiously, Fedora detects the USB device and the label of the disk. Can anyone help me? Thank you very much. R.
