sure this is a locale problem ? for me it looks, the problem is that quote character being part of the filename. try creating a file with some > " < inside - windows explorer won`t let you
http://ntfs-3g.org/support.html#posixfilenames2 seems to fit better here. so, change that filename on linux or with some tool on windows which let`s you do that. explorer is crap, really. try creating a new file/dir with the name ".test" from explorer. you get an error message. open a dos box and do a "mkdir .test" see ? it even fails with such simple examples regards roland > -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- > Von: Szabolcs Szakacsits <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Gesendet: 30.10.07 15:56:00 > An: Stefan Johansson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > CC: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Betreff: Re: [ntfs-3g-devel] Problem reading files saved by ntfs-3g > > > Hi, > > > Yesterday I saved approx 10 000 mp3s on an NTFS-formatted HDD in Gutsy. > > The mp3:s were saved with the latest driver shipped with Ubuntu Gutsy. > > Today I tried to copy the files onto my windows HDD and a got en error > > every time I tried to copy a file containing a ???? character. > > Did you check this out already? > > http://ntfs-3g.org/support.html#locale3 > > It seems you used the correct locale environment originally and now a > broken one. > > Regards, > Szaka > > -- > NTFS-3G Lead Developer: http://ntfs-3g.org > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc. > Still grepping through log files to find problems?
