I agree. It looks like many people have the same problem, and no proper support from fuse developers. I succeeded in making this work!!! I use fuse-2.7.1. I've added "-D__asm__\(X\)=" to CFLAGS, it now ignores all .symver and works. (I have lack that __asm__ is only used for this). I think the ./configure script of fuse should determine if .symver is supported, and if not mask these out. Thank you for your support! I hope to hear something from fuse developers.
