Hello,

I am running NTFS3G on my Leopard 10.5.1 machine with MAC-FUSE 10.5.1.1 and NTFS-3G version 1.1120 I have noticed the following problem regarding file copying (mainly pictures and mp3s but other files may also be affected)

When I get info of a picture from HFS+ partition, I see the camera information, date of creation, and all other information that is embedded in the photo.

However, when I copy the file from HFS+ partition to my WinXP partition using NTFS 3G, the information is all gone. the date of creation is whenever I copied it.

Not only do the date change, but all the camera info is gone.

The same thing happens for MP3 files. If i move my MP3 file from HFS+ to NTFS 3G, ALL the file info is gone. No song name, no artist name.

To make this legitimate and replicable, I checked the info of the photo and MP3 in the FAT32, then I copied my photos and MP3s from my FAT32 partition to the HFS+ partition. The info is still present after the copy from FAT32 to HFS+.

After that copy I copied the file from HFS+ to NTFS-3G and the file info is gone.

I have tried on all 4 Macs at my home and have produced similar results. And to make things more clear, FAT32 partition is not needed for the problem to be replicated. The problem happens when a file with file info (like pictures and mp3) is copied from HFS+ to NTFS-3G.

Thanks
Jonathan
