Yes, there are many plans, including the release of fsck.ntfs-3g. However the work to be done is still about 140 man-years (the size of Microsoft NTFS is almost like all the other 60 Linux file systems altogether), so we need to prioritize things somehow to best fit the few hours per day developer resource and still remain stable. The current focus is on permission and ownership support, better filename handling, fixing/implementing issues on the support FAQ list, performance optimization and importing/fixing the ntfsprogs utilities when we can afford the support resources. > It would be extremely useful so as not to have to reboot into windows to > fix.
