I noticed that make install copies libntfs-3g.a into /usr/lib/ I always thought that *.a files are needed only to statically link the binary and then it is not needed anymore. Is there any reason to 'install' libntfs-3g.a to the system? Can I safely delete it? You know, it's 300KB, and my initrd is becoming full :)
Or perhaps I should learn better what are *.a files for? :) Thank you Tomas M ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ ntfs-3g-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/ntfs-3g-devel
