I noticed that make install copies libntfs-3g.a into /usr/lib/
I always thought that *.a files are needed only to statically link the binary
and then it is not needed anymore.
Is there any reason to 'install' libntfs-3g.a to the system? Can I safely
delete it? You know, it's 300KB, and my initrd is becoming full :)

Or perhaps I should learn better what are *.a files for? :)

Thank you
Tomas M
