 gwTeX (IIRC) has a full complement of adobe 8r metrics. Note that
 helvetica in the postscript typescript is scaled at 90% so "12pt"
 actually means 10.8pt.


Then the error log changes. Now we have:

! Font \*12ptsstf*=uhvr8t at 12.0pt not loadable: Metric (TFM) file not found.
