I’m still using Alan Braslau’s graph module:

This is a port of John Hobby’s package for drawing graphs in MetaPost. The
features are limited, but it works great for basic plots.
I’m not sure where you find the manual. I think it is too big for me to put on
the list, so I will send a copy to you directly. If anyone can post a link to
the graph module’s manual, that would be great.
If you need something more sophisticated, you have two options:
1. Use pgfplots, which is a library add-on to TikZ.
2. Help me write a better graph module for LuaMetaTex.
