˚ (U+02DA) RING ABOVE
which is incorrect; you instead want
° (U+00B0) DEGREE SIGN
Thank you for the hint – that means, at least the German keyboard
mappings on MacOS and my Linuxes are wrong.
It would be helpful if ConTeXt would catch the wrong circle anyway.
