Great! Do you still experience any speed problems now? (I have a feeling that Hans has removed dependency on ImageMagic, but I didn't try to uninstall it to check if that was true.) I also need to apologise for blaming ConTeXt for wrong stretching of included figures (I had some problems with figures in XeTeX in ConTeXt already before, so I falsely assumed that it was "yet another one in the series"). It turned out it has been a XeTeX bug, which popped up only for some very specific kind of pictures and only in xdvipdfmx ...
