I thought that this bug had been removed almost a year ago, but it is still there. Hans, how about defining another macro, \!!appendtokens ... \!!to ... and changing the internal usage to this macro. The macro \appendtokens ... \to ... macro must stay (since it is present in many user docs). Would this get rid of this bug?
