hm, this is the border case ... so we need


local function flushnormalpath(path, t, open)
     local pth, ith
     for i=1,#path do
        ...
     end
     if not open then
        ...
     elseif #path == 1 then
         -- special case .. draw point
         local one = path[1]
         t[#t+1] = format("%f %f l",one.x_coord,one.y_coord)
     end
     return t
end

i hope this does not interfere (i.e. needs a more complex check)
