with the latest ConTeXt ver: 2009.03.29 13:28 MKIV
and LuaTeX, Version snapshot-0.37.0-2009032922
I can't get colored text:
\setupcolors[state=start]
\setuppagenumbering[state=stop]
\starttext
{\red red}
{\green this is typeset
in green}
{\middlemagenta this is typeset
in dark middlemagenta}
\stoptext
