After reading Hans' explanation, I understand what you said now.
\dorecurse{10000}{ hello {\font\a="[AdobeSongStd-Light]"\a 你好}\par}
is fast while
\dorecurse{10000}{ hello {\font\a="[AdobeSongStd-Light.otf]"\a 你好}\par}
is slow
