Using Tex-Live MKII, I created the .ps with >texexec --dvi TableExample

But WHY do you need DVI/PS instead of just PDF?

Needing a PDF/X-1a:2001 file, I created the PDF from the .ps file using
Adobe Acrobat Distiller 9

No need to go via PS to get PDF/X-1a.

The warnings point to the lines in the table but not to the text.

So you can just ignore the warnings.
PDF/X isn't resolution dependend.
