1. Why aren't the \usetypescriptfile commands necessary? 2. It never occurred to me to consider the dedication as a separate chapter. Logically, it is but is the inverse of other chapters, sort of, in that the chapter title isn't normally displayed and the body of the chapter is printed in a different font than are the other chapters.
