In principle you need to contact the upstream developer (unless it's Aditya reading the mailing list and pointing you to the patch :) > This will be fixed in the next release of pgfplots. t-tikz in distribution uses the master from git repository on sourceforge (even though I'm not exactly sure how frequently it updates). In any case, looking at the current state, I see the lua file is already inside "tex", not inside "scripts", so Aditya's comment to wait for the released patch should no longer hold. If the problem persists, it might be a different bug (I didn't test anything).
