thank you for your reply. It does what I was looking for. I had already 
inbetween= in my definition, which I thought would be to adjust the spacing 
inside a row of enumeration-items… But the before and after commands do the 
trick. Even the width is great, I adjusted the value a little bit and now the 
enumerations look precisely as I had it in mind.
