Dear list.

How can I control vertical padding in natural tables?
You can use offset the control the padding on all four sides and loffset etc. for the individual sides.

\startTEXpage[offset=1cm]

\bTABLE[offset=1mm,strut=no,style={\switchtobodyfont[tt,40pt]}]
    \bTR
        \bTD[loffset=1cm,toffset=1cm]
            A
        \eTD
        \bTD[roffset=1cm,toffset=1cm]
            B
        \eTD
    \eTR
    \bTR
        \bTD[loffset=1cm,boffset=1cm]
            C
        \eTD
        \bTD[roffset=1cm,boffset=1cm]
            D
        \eTD
    \eTR
\eTABLE
